I almost feel sorry for Margaret lol

Edward did nothing wrong and he didn't even accomplished any his time but at least he died by the hands of he loves but he didn't even said I love you to Richard

Feels like that's the direction they were going for with bringing up her backstory.

All Edward wanted was to be love by his mother and Richard but all he got was pain and suffering

Makes me feel like that scene in Red Dead Redemption 2 where you go and get Jack from the family that kidnapped him. But in the process, kill everyone in the house except the Grandma, drag her violently down the stairs and out the burning mansion to in the end, watch her run inside to join her family in death.

Damn, I hated the family but after that scene, I can't help but feel sorry for the grandma

I wasn't expecting Anne to be the body double, I thought she was going to run away with Edward. After she was revealed to be the body double, I also thought Richard would slay her and realize who she was but seeing Anne protecting Edward must have put him in even more despair.

Interesting how the tables have turned with Margaret, it seemed like she was trying to rile them up so they would kill her instead but she ended up having to see her son be killed before her eyes and they won't let her die. At least Edward got one wish in the end, I guess?

I wonder what they'll do with Anne, I feel like Richard has lost it already and will probably not do anything to help her out but at the same time it'll torment him emotionally if she gets executed too.

But for Margaret this is her... her punishment lol

Anne has no family now no Edward friend, no father and where is her sister

Edward only wants attention from his mother Margaret and just wanted to love Richard he doesn't deserve to die

That guy or girl is the one that killed Warwick and now the lustful king wants to find the culprit and the culprit is next to that lustful king and he kinda looks like Richard

In the manga the reveal was even more epic I must say. While they did a fine job in the episode it was a little rushed and some moments were cut. Edward originally pointed out himself Anne is too kind to have anyone else been sacrificed for him, so thus he realized she is his double. Which as we will see later is even more heroic for another...physical reason for her. Also the chase was long because Richard couldn't reach her and was even surprised how fast this rider is. This is why he ended up throwing his sword at the horse.
Don't underestimate Anne. This is only one of the times she proves herself an epic character.

Yeah this episode feels rush because next episode is episode 12 and Margaret suddenly provoking that lustful king and uragirimono George and saying stuff about how she torture their father like a worm

Also they did cut some of the chase, Richard's inner monologue and the fight Edward gave to leave that tower.

Is it the end for her too? Is it just the beggining? And how will she handle things from now on.
As for Richard, with all this, he started losin it and that's why things could take the tragic road.

Anne is such a strong person....might because she's preggo I don't think she should have been on the battle field but the seriousness of walking Edward over the head to protect him or attempt to stop him from going to war was such a thing to see. & Than to be his double.
Poor Richard, he's suffering so much he loves and feels for a lot of the Lancasters but never knew they were Lancasters so it's mind fucking him decision wise & now he has to be a demon from hell who's inevitablely also experiences his greatest version of hell.....
He has now killed Henry's son, I wonder if he will ever think of that as he's always dense to thinking of those issues, Henry will be so devastated that Richard did such a thing.....
I mean I understand making the queen live since she should suffer but if she lives won't she continue to mess things up? She messed up Henry's head and her son's head too....in my eyes they were both her victims.
Which goes well with her statement 'why did my son die and leave me alone why not me?' but killing her off and letting the others live would have less suffering to the lot including Richard and Anne.
As in the reality of the royal world their family feuds always cause more suffering. Ya'll family have a damn dinner date and stop being at each other's throats of the smallest things.....crown goes to whoever in line whether you like it or not.

(Shhhhh!!! Don't spoiler Anne's condition to the others they don't know! I agree though, but this makes it even more heroic.)
About the fact Richard killed Henry's son and how painful it should have been for Henry but we actually never see him giving a damn.

But yes, royal history and wars carry a lot of pain...

And that's only the beginning~
Thankfully, while it was a little rushed at times and some moments from the manga that added more emotion and epicness were cut, the anime did a fine job in this episode. I am relieved!
I understand though why should they made it quick, since after the events of next episode it's the perfect moment to go forth with the time skip that will bring us to part 2 of the series.

RIP Edward. This was really sad. I kinda feel that even if Richard wins this war he still loses. All the people that loved him gonna be dead.

I feel bad for Henry. If you go back and watch episode 2, he broke down crying when he found out about York's death and said it was horrible. But Richard thinks he's some kind of cold hearted monster who happily ordered the death of his father. Too bad Richard doesn't know the truth.

I hope after this he/she (whatever his gender is) he knows because she claimed that she was the one to kill his father

The shock of realization from Anne, Edward and Richard is the real selling point to Richard's psychic delve into being a monster.

Two important character deaths in back to back episodes. I can only presume what is gonna happen in the next episode.

since the last episode i couldn't hold myself and read ahead, it is really soo good, i love it, @Kaito Sensei was sooooo damn right about this

since i know that Edward of York has the same VA as Kaeya (Genshin) i have and extra ear for all of his lines xD also he sounds different

The first half still was lacking the intensity and expression of the manga. You should really read the manga if you care enough about the characters. The scenes are having more impact there. Just my opinion!

I agree but I get why they rushed it,,,with next week's episode we close this chapter and we go to the time skip in manga in the start of the part 2 of the anime. At least it wasn't bad either.

Fan fact, I have made a post on fb about a month ago waiting for this episode and pretty sure it wouldn't portray the Anne's scene as powerfully, so I can share it if needed.
